One Last Paradox

miko2I finished Paradox in Oz tonight. Quite a fun little book.
The author slipped one last paradox past the readers at the very end... or at least he tried to. It amused me because he didn't point it out specifically, he just left it for the readers to discover.
At the begining of the journey Tempus the parrot-ox hands a note to Ozma from her future self. It tells her everything will turn out all right, and gives her a couple of clues.
At the very end of the book, Tempus shows up and asks Ozma for the note so he can reassure her past self with it. Ozma pulls out the note and hands it to him, and he flies off.
And... time loop. Ozma never actually writes the note... she hands Tempus the one that he handed to her in the past. Paradox!
