miko2Today's salvage food was Liberty Orchards candies. They're the people that make applets and cotlets, and they make good high-class stuff. I forgot to mention them, they're in Cashmere which is the middle of nowhere so as far as I can tell we will ALWAYS ship their stuff, since there aren't a lot of other options for them. Anyway when something of theirs winds up as salvage it's a good thing, but I didn't eat any of what was out. I did eat more smarties, there's still tons of those lying about.
I got my Spamalot cd in the mail. I guess I know what I'll be listening to tomorrow. ^_^ It's funny though, I rarely listen to cds at work. I used to listen to them more when I had my old cd player (which I still have) that would go for many many hours on two batteries. But my new cd player, which is also an mp3 player (why I bought it), eats batteries very quickly. This means it's better just to plug it in and not use the batteries... but that means getting out the plug and climbing under the desk to plug it in. I know, not a major endeavor... but often I'm just as happy to keep listening to my little radio even when NPR is running shows I'm not really that interested in, rather than take two minutes to set up my cd player. ^_^
I got home really late tonight -- almost 2 am. Stephanie has been sick the last couple of days and it takes more than two people to replace her, but we usually get just one. So tonight was very busy and we were all there until 1 am.
Picked up comics today -- Usagi Yojimbo, Grimjack, Pakkin's Land, and Fruits Basket vol 9. Pakkin's Land is by the same people doing that Grimoire comic with the raccoon in it. I hadn't asked for it, but it was in my box, and it's issue #1 and it's another fantasy-based comic with talking animals so I decided to check it out. I guess Gabriel the comic shop owner knows what I like. ^_^
