For those familiar with Tales of the Taipan who think it's odd or not quite believable that a well-known/famous singer might wind up on an interstellar pirate ship (let alone two -- but that's another story)... well this might not convince you but it was an interesting story.

NPR's All Things Considered had an interview with Carl Tanner yesterday. Carl is an opera tenor who studied (if I remember right) piano, violin, and child psychology in college, and who spent several years driving trucks and working as a bounty hunter before moving on to his current job. ^_^
