miko2I was shocked and horrified to learn that, according to a recent study, the city of Pittsburg, PA is completely unprepared for a massive zombie attack.
In the meantime, I should probably say HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEHF! and lament the fact that I forgot to buy a present for her, unless I raid my Christmas present box, in which case I will no longer have a Christmas present already bought for her. ^_^

pencil_rain there once in a while!) about NANOWRIMO, and about people trying to participate in the month-long novel writing event from inside the Second Life game. Which... sounds like a neat idea, except that the "notecards" that are the main way to jot down text in the game are somewhat less functional than the most basic text editor you can think of. I could deal with something as functional as Wordpad (I write a lot in Wordpad actually), and I might even attempt it on something more basic like Notepad, but what we have in the game is not even that sophisticated. Still, as with every year, the whole idea of participating in NANOWRIMO both intrigues me and scares me. It sounds like fun, but then, I'm afraid of spending a month on a project that is ultimately unreadable... and if I work too hard at making something readable, then I inevitably fail to complete the required 50,000 words in a single month. Not to mention that I'm afraid to commit myself to spending that much time on one thing, unable to write anything else. Never mind that I can go for months at a time without writing anything anyway.
So... it might be fun to do, but I think I would fire up Second Life, and then open Wordpad to do my actual writing. ^_^ But maybe I could borrow from places within SL for inspiration. If I do it.
