I love how when I log in now, Live Journal suggests things that I can do while logged in such as "Update Your Livejournal" or "Read Your Freind's List"! As if I routinely log in to do things other than those two options. Goofballs.

Every day this week I've come home or awoken in the morning and had a nice yummy scone that [livejournal.com profile] kehf absolutely forced me to take home after the Christmas party. Really, she twisted my arm and everything. I have no choice but to eat them.

Mmmmmm, scoooones... *drool*

I'm feeling much better this evening because I have several of my presents taken care of. First, the jackets I ordered came in -- very nice fleece-lined jackets with a Peninsula logo on the left breast. I got a grey/black one for myself, and a grey/red one for my dad for Christmas.

Me: Will dad like a Peninsula fleece-lined jacket?
Mom: He doesn't need any new jackets, but of course he'll like it because it comes from you and has your company logo on it.

Well after all, it's hard enough to buy gifts for my parents, so dad gets a new jacket whether he needs it or not. But the good news is, it's a very very nice jacket, probably better than many of his older ones.

Anyway I ordered them a few weeks ago at work -- I was one of only a very small handful of people who did so. Don't ask me why, Tim walks around with a new jacket and everyone wants to know where he got it and if they can get one too, then he puts up order forms, and everyone says what nice jackets they are and how reasonable the price is, but do they actually order any? No. Then they complain later that they wish they'd ordered one. /sigh.

So the jackets arrived yesterday and Tim didn't even want to show them to me, because HIS jacket has our logo stitched all in white, but all of the ones he ordered had the logo stitched in green with a little white (our company colors are green and white). Tim said they were ugly and he was going to reorder them. Problem being, one of mine was meant to be a Christmas present. So he brought them over today, and of course they aren't "ugly" -- as if green stitching on a red background is some horrible fashion choice, especially this time of year. Anyway the logos are small and look perfectly fine, so I declined to have mine redone.

Then on the way home I stopped at the Northgate mall hoping that they might be open until at least 10pm... and in fact they were open well past that, to either 11pm or maybe even Midnight, I have no idea. But I was able to pick up gifts for my mother and my two sisters. I still need something else for my sisters I think... and something for my brother-in-law. But I feel much closer to my goal now. I was kind of panicking, thinking I had two days before Saturday (I'm driving down Saturday to Longview so I don't want to be shopping on Saturday) and that I had at least 5 people to buy gifts for still... but now I'm down to 1 and we'll call it a half. ^_^

Nifty!
