Woo, got the 20 year high school reunion letter today. Just what I've always wanted to do, have dinner with 100 people that I haven't seen in 20 years. Right.
I've actually talked to maybe 8 or 10 people from my high school since I moved from Salem a year after graduating. Of those, the only one I'm in even semi-regular contact with today is Darrell, who after all lives only a few blocks from me. And I haven't talked to him in almost a year, but at least I have his phone number. ^_^
I don't understand high school reunions. Maybe if high school had been the high point of my entire life, I'd want to revisit it, but what a sad thing if that were true. Maybe if I was rich and famous I'd want to go back and show everyone up, except that I've never had that sort of mentality. Otherwise, do I really care what's happened to all of those people I graduated with? Not really.
