Another Weekend Wasted

I went shopping on Saturday. Honest-to-God shopping, as opposed to stopping at the grocery store or my comic shop or whatever.

The corned beef was good. :) With potatos, carrots, and cabbage. Yum! Well, actually the potatos were especially bland but the meat was very tasty.

One other thing I picked up this weekend was "Respublika" by the Ukranians, a new cd by the band that sings in Ukranian with traditional folk instruments but with a lot of punk rock attitude. They're actually based in England, and along with a lot of Ukrainian folk songs they sometimes cover rock tunes -- translated into Ukrainian. In the past they've covered "Venus In Furs" by Velvet Underground and "Big Mouth Strikes Again" by The Smiths/Morrisey. This time around they tackle "Anarchy In The UK" by the Sex Pistols. Fun stuff. :)
