I don't really feel like doing a full update right now, but I wanted to say a couple of things:

One, Conifur 2003 is over. Phew! I'm tired.

Two, I gave away some CDs to my friends labelled "Conifur 2003 Animal Mix". These are the cds based on my earlier live journal posting, all songs about animals. I'll post a song track later.

Three, I had also put together two other cds to listen to at the con. These were labelled not very creatively "Conifur 2003 Mix" and Conifur 2003 Mix 2" or something similar. They contain a bunch of odd songs that I was in the mood to assemble, including some modern rock, punk, metal, and a lot of older stuff like 60's garage rock (Sonics), 50's soul (Screamin' Jay Hawkins), music from the 20's and 30's, early jazz & swing, early country blues (Blind Willie Johnson), stuff from odd bands like Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, etc.

When I went to listen to one of these cds on Sunday, I found that they weren't in my bag o stuff. My best conclusion is that I gave them away when I thought I was giving away my animal mix cd. So if I gave you something at the con and you discover that you have something other than a cd full of songs about animals or on animal themes, then I guess you got the lucky bonus cd or something. Let me know, I can still make more of the animal mix cds if you want one, and don't worry about getting the wrong cd because I have those formats saved as well and can pull them up and burn another copy for myself in just a few minutes. ^_^

Some sort of con report may follow later this week if I feel up to it. Later!

I forgot to finish the story of my badge that Jennifer drew for me. And to do it, I should first talk about my badge and Sky's badge from last year.

Sky did a badge for me last year and as usual I didn't ask for anything in particular. We'd been to see the film Spirited Away recently in the theater, and Sky had the art book on the movie with him, so he drew me as the demon/spirit character No-Face (or Noh Face, since his face is a Noh mask). So I was "That No-Face Miko" for the rest of the con.

At the same time Jennifer drew Sky as his fox/kitsune persona but (if I remember correctly) in a Japanese girl's sailor style school uniform.

So back to this year. I asked Jennifer to do a badge and told her to draw my raccoon persona, but otherwise left it up to her. She didn't work on my badge right away, but later in the evening she was working on it and wouldn't let me see it until she was done. I got the impression that she'd been kibitzing with others in the Con Ops room on what to draw, and she and others know I'm a fan of the Oz children's book series. So she drew my Miko raccoon figure as Dorothy... ie in a white blouse and blue checkered dress, holding Toto, with a yellow brick road in the background. It was quite cute, very funny. ^_^

Although one of the door guards thought it was a furry Pauli Girl. Uh, yeah, whatever...
