Writer's Update
Oct. 22nd, 2003 01:53 pmSaturday: After writer's night I came home and before I went to bed I wrote the new first scene of my story.
Sunday: I didn't write. I watched sports and my Cowboy Bebop movie.
Monday: I had the day off, because they were going to do the trial about my car and the kidnaping case, but they moved it again. So I cleaned up the living room a little, then went to see Finding Nemo with Jeri-Lynn and Jeff. Cool movie. ^_^ When I came home I decided to watch Lilo & Stitch. Then I actually worked on my story a good deal.
Two cds arrived in the mail: Burnside on Burnside and Robin Lane & The Chartbusters. Fun stuff. Over the weekend I got my Blood Oranges cd too, brilliant alternative bluegrass rock.
Tuesday: Worked. Came home, watched Shrek. I don't have a lot of non-anime animated movies, but Shrek and Lilo & Stitch are both worth owning. Wrote a bit on my story, not a lot though.
Today I was checking some things out on Amazon. Was thinking of getting the Cowboy Bebop movie soundtrack, but there doesn't seem to be one. All of the songs in the movie are part of the series soundtracks I guess... there's 4 or 5 I think. I have the first one only so far.
Looked for more Blood Oranges. At first I thought I found some, but two titles came up where Blood Oranges was the title of the cd but had nothing to do with the group. It turns out they only have one other cd... Amazon has it used for $25, but it turns out to be a 5 song ep. I don't need to spend $25 for 5 songs.
Instead I followed some links that led me to the page of the musical Avenue Q. It would be fun to see this show, but anyway I was inspired enough to buy the soundtrack. ^_^
Another musical I checked out when I saw someone mention it is Wicked. This is indeed based on the book which is a retelling of the life and times of the Wicked Witch of the West. That would be a fun show to see too. They don't have a original cast soundtrack out yet -- in fact, they haven't even recorded it, but it should be available in a month or two.
