I Had A Dream!
Aug. 4th, 2005 01:59 pmIn my dream several of us were reading a Tai-Pan graphic story that I'd written some time ago. I'm not sure if I just wrote it and someone else drew it, or what, but it looked amazing -- as good as any graphic novel out there, with painted panels and a smooth glossy finish. And for some reason I'd never finished it, but it had been so long ago that I didn't remember what about it was not finished... there was something about vacc suits and space stations, and technical details that I'd had Jeff work over to make sure I'd gotten them right, and right up to the last panel all of the artwork was perfect, and then we remembered that we'd brought the story to a certain point and had just ended the story with a "to be continued" ending. And for some reason, we had planned to do the second part of the story as a prose story instead of graphic novel, because making a graphic novel like that was a lot of work.
I could remember just enough of the plot upon waking up to realize it was one of those "dream plots" that made no sense whatsoever once you were awake. But dang it looked really cool! Why we'd go to all that trouble and then set it aside for years I have no idea. ^_^
