Well, I have an apartment. I've been approved. I have to go in and sign the papers and I can start moving in on the 15th.

Despite the fact that my first month's rent will be pro-rated, I don't have the money to pay my car tabs. In fact if it weren't for the pro-rated rent I wouldn't have had enough to move in, after all. I suppose I could still call them and ask to be pushed back until the end of the month, that would give me the money to pay my tabs now, but I want to start moving stuff as soon as I can. My current plan, I guess, is to pay my tabs sometime next week, before my next paycheck, hope I don't get pulled over before then, and then make my car payment a couple of weeks late, because I'll have to budge for next month's rent on this check as well.

After that, things should be a little less tight. I hope. ^_^

In the meantime, my other project for the weekend should be to get rid of some of the things in the apartment that I don't want. The sleeper sofa, the extra coffee table, a desk Tom left, the fish tank in the laundry room, stuff like that. I'll need to borrow someone's digital camera, or something.

Annoying

I got a letter from the Washington State Patrol today. That was worrisome, since I'm already worried that I could be pulled over at any moment for expired tabs.

The letter said that an annonymous person had reported seeing litter (fast food containers) tossed from my car. They said it happened at around Highway 99 and 50th, which I drive every day, so I don't doubt that someone saw my car and recorded my license plate correctly -- however, whatever they think they saw, I most certainly have never tossed trash out of my car while driving down the road. I've never done that, and it's pretty annoying to be accused of doing it.

The letter said that I couldn't be ticketed for it, but that "if an officer had seen it" then I would have been ticketed. Which of course he wouldn't have seen such a thing because it didn't happen -- but it makes you wonder, if mr. annonymous got the facts wrong, what's to say a cop couldn't make the same mistake? It's a very big fine too.

Oh well, nothing I should worry about, but still, very annoying. It also makes me wonder if someone didn't purposefully file a false report because they were mad at me for some other imagined slight, such as I'd cut in front of them or something. Not that it accomplishes anything, but I'm sure if I knew who'd reported me, I'd be tempted to report them in turn. :p
