miko2: Ranma disguised as a schoolgirl to fool Ryoga (osaka)
Sometimes I feel like Osaka from Azumanga Daioh, whose attempts to turn her life around consist of telling herself that "this year I'm really going to get it together" and then she repeats the phrase "get it together, get it together" while zoning out completely and ignoring everything going on around her. You know, you have a list of things in your head that you want to do or need to do, and most of them never get done.

On the flip side, the fact that I've successfully altered my diet and lifestyle to the point where I get up every morning with plenty of time to go on a long 1 hour walk and then come home, shower, eat breakfast, and prepare a lunch makes me feel like I am "getting it together". I used to wake up with just enough time to shower and grab something from the fridge as I rushed off to work, and if I had extra time I wasted it in front of the computer.

On the flip flip side, I haven't written anything or managed to be creative in any way in the last couple of months, and I haven't gotten most of my other big projects done. So in that respect I still feel like I'm off in some lala land telling myself I'm going to get it together any moment now.

I need to straighten up my livingroom, and set up my stereo (which I haven't touched since I moved in). I have a hard drive I intend to install and migrate all of my music files to. I have some ideas for comics or stories that I want to work on. I have a lot of plans, but I can't find time to work on them.

I haven't even watched any of my recently purchased movies. For some reason I balk at a 2 hour time committment, but I have no problem watching 3-4 episodes of Red Dwarf or News Radio in a row. The fact that it comes in half hour committments somehow makes it different.

I've been watching a lot of News Radio this week, at least 3 episodes each night and often one in the morning as I eat breakfast. It's a fun show. I guess I'll have to buy season 3 and 4 eventually.

Not much else to post at the moment. My iPod Nano rocks. I haven't used a cd player (except the one in my car) since I got it.
