miko2: Ranma disguised as a schoolgirl to fool Ryoga (trashcat)
I've started three new Tai-Pan stories within the last year. One was an untitled Christmas ghost story for last year's Christmas party, but I had trouble finishing it. Another is entitled "The Pilgrimage of Ian St. Ritz" which I started at the begining of this year. I finished the first scene, read it at writer's night, and then failed to get much more done on it.

The final one is a story called "Kismet" which I started when I was challenged to write a story by a certain date that might possibly be used in the July issue of the Tai-Pan. That story wound up having a lot of problems that I couldn't solve very easily. I *think* I know how to approach the story correctly now, but I haven't worked on it in a long while.

In fact, I really hadn't written anything all summer. The last thing I worked on was my Ranma 1/2 fan fiction story "Girl's School", which I worked on quite a bit in May and June, but I haven't added very much to it since then. I have a lot of people who read the first few chapters who are wondering if I'm going to continue it.

This last week I managed to get a second scene written on "Pilgrimage" and have been working on other parts of the story. I had a lot of bits of dialogue and half-scenes pencilled in, but not a lot actually written. But it's coming along.

Tonight I took a look at the ghost story, and realized that I have quite a bit of it already written. I'd been stuck on the second scene, but a lot of the other scenes are at least half written already. I started working on it, and finished up the second and (for the most part) the third scenes, and then polished off the final scene which was nearly completely written already. I still think the story is only about half done, but just about every scene remaining is partly written. I should be able to finish it up if I work on it.

I even came up with a good title for it. "Fuzzy Ghost".

I was going to go to the Halloween party but ultimately decided that it was late and it was a long drive and I didn't feel very much like going anywhere. Instead I went up to Southcenter and hit Half Price Books. My best find was PDQ Bach's The Short-Tempered Clavier in the $1.00 bin. Who can resist a deal like that? I picked up several other cds and the movie Galaxy Quest.

I stopped at Denny's for dinner, which was a bad choice. I should have gone to Applebee's, or somewhere else. They had almost nothing on the menu that could be considered healthy -- everything had potatoes, rice, or bread of some sort (empty carbs all), and the chicken I wound up ordering was breaded (I hadn't realized that) on a rice pilaf bed, with dinner bread on the side... I left most of the rice and the bread alone, and ate the veggies and chicken. Not that it tasted bad, but it wasn't really worth the money I paid for it, and it wasn't as healthy as I would have liked.

I'm making more bread tonight. Another of the same as before, 10 grain bread mix from the store. It was good, and this loaf smells very good right now too. ^_^
