Me: (Listening to voting results on NPR) McGavick has conceeded to Cantwell, but I'm more interested in the Reichert race. It's really close.
Co-Worker: (Who attended rallys for McGavick) Who's Reichert?
Me: Dave Reichert, the former Sheriff of King County?
Co-Worker: Is he Republican? Oh, then I know I voted for him.
This is the same co-worker who, a couple of months ago, heard another politician's name mentioned and went off on how angry she was at this politician -- but she couldn't remember what it was that she was angry about. Still, she was angry.
And more recently in October, she had a vacation flight on Friday the 13th and said "People who believe in Friday the 13th are just superstitious, and besides, I checked my horoscope and it said I'm going to have a really good day."
