Two artists that I like quite a bit have new cds out, or coming out within the week:
Abigail Washburn and the Sparrow Quartet have a brand new full-length cd out. They had previously only released an ep. This is the band that features Bela Fleck and several other very accomplished musicians, and has toured China several times.
I got an e-mail this evening about the new cd with the note that the first 50 orders would be signed by all of the band members. What the heck, I figured. I ordered it immediately. ^_^
Perhaps even more exciting (for me anyway) is that King's X has a new cd out on May 20th, and based on what I've heard on Myspace it sounds incredible! They are still just about my favorite band ever.
