Here's a good one
May. 16th, 2008 03:49 pmI just heard a report on this as I was driving home, on PRI's The World. British band The Get Out Clause wanted to produce a song video as cheaply as possible -- and garner some attention as well, of course. So they spent two weeks performing out on the streets before some of the estimated 13 million security cameras in Britain. They noted the day and time and what they were wearing, then requested copies of the footage through the Freedom of Information act.
When they were done, combined with some footage shot with a hand-held camera, they not only had a cheap video but one that's garnered them a great deal of attention. ^_^
Government funded video, gotta love it.
