Jun. 20th, 2008 10:36 pmCDs I own two of (and need to get rid of one copy):
Bruckner's Symphony no. 8, Lorin Maazel condcuting: This is a good version of my favorite Bruckner symphony.
Bruckner's Symphony no. 9, Bruno Walter conducting: Considered by many to be the greatest version of this nver completed symphony.
Yothu Yindi: Tribal Voice Aboriginal rock group's first cd, was out of print for a few years but it's back in print now (this is the old version).
Zahar (with Hassan Hakmoun, self-titled 1992 recording on Knitting Factory Works) Old and out of print. Moroccan trance rock, sorta.
The Amps: Pacer Kim Deal's band post-Pixies and post-Breeders. Or maybe it was Kelly Deal, I get them confused.
Bonnie Rait: Luck of the Draw Um... it's a Bonnie Rait cd, that's all I really know.
Probably a few other cds I haven't noticed...
