I have a catch-all song playlist on my iPod entitled "New Jack City" for no obvious reason. This is where I usually place new music that I download, and where I keep songs that I like a lot. It's the playlist I listen to the most, and because I'm constantly adding to it I also constantly have to find stuff to delete so it doesn't grow out of control. At times it's contained as many as 230 songs. Right now it has 158 songs, and I'm trying very hard to keep it in the 150 or below range.

Because of this, any song that remains on this playlist for a very long time is one that I really, really like. Here's a list of songs that I've featured as my song of the day over a year ago that are still on my main iPod playlist (starting with my very first song of the day, from 04/12/07):

Two nights ago in City of Heroes I teamed with a guy named Branigan Velour. He had a red dress uniform top, white boots, and no pants -- ie, he looked like Captain Branigan from Futurama.

Last night I teamed with an amazon woman -- very tall, overdeveloped, wearing nothing but a bikini and some bone decorations, and wielding a crude club as a weapon. Her name? Snu Snu. Her battle cry? Death by Snu Snu!

(Which would be another Futurama reference.)

Since you can't make a squid face I don't expect to team with Dr. Zoidberg anytime soon, but I guess you never know...

The character I played last night was based on an idea I stole directly from someone else on the CoH boards. He was a stalker -- a villain class who can hide and strike from the shadows. Assassins and ninjas, in other words. His name? Double Donkey Motel.
