chuck_melville and asked if he wanted to go to Fry's. We both have gift cards from Christmas for there. Then I asked if he wanted to see a movie.
In my head I had a plan: exercise, pick up Chuck, hit my bank (it was payday), hit Fry's, get some dinner, go to the movie Coraline witheddvick and Amy and anyone else that showed up.
Chuck pointed out that if we wanted to hit Fry's and make it up to Seattle for the movie at 7 PM, we needed to get going. So I skipped exercise for the 2nd day. :p
We hit my bank and then Fry's. Chuck picked up the movie Iron Man, I got Bender's Game (Futurama movie #3) and Tin Man. The second is a new take on The Wizard of Oz that was a special on the SciFi channel. I'd never heard of it but both Chuck and Edd had, so I've got hopes that it's worth watching, then I'll probably have to lend it out to people.
Before leaving I'd checked LJ and saw Edd's post about their poor kitty... so I wasn't entirely sure if they were still going to the movie. But no sooner had we parked then we saw Edd walking past us. We were there early, so we went up to Half Price Books (where he was headed when we saw him). Edd got a couple of books and I picked up 2 used cds. Then we hit the theater and waited for Amy to meet up with us.
The movie was awesome. According to the NPR review it's worth it to see in 3D, but the Metro wasn't capable of that... it was still a very very good movie.
Afterwards we went to dinner at Mamma Merlino's... er, I'm not sure if that's the name, a small Italian restaurant up on 50th and Broadway not far from Half Price Books, Scarecrow Video, and not far from where Edd and Chuck used to live.
It was a fun evening. ^_^
