Mar. 26th, 2010 01:48 pmFor what it's worth, I managed to finish rewriting scenes for Girl's School chapter 20 this last weekend and, after editing, I published it on fanfiction.net. I mean, it's only been more than a year since chapter 19 was published. :p
It's kind of scary how many people read or are aware of that story. I've written other long fanfiction stories, but none of them were half as popular as this one seems to be. And I don't even mean it's one of the more popular Ranma 1/2 stories out there per se, just that people do write to me about it, and subscribe on fanfiction.net to know when the next chapter will be out, and that sort of thing. It gives me a very small taste of what being a popular author might feel like. Mostly it feels like I have a lot of expectations to meet.
Anyway. I need to rewrite several scenes for chapter 21 as well before I publish it. But this week I've mostly been writing scenes for chapter 25, which was largely unwritten. It's a difficult section, dealing with the aftermath of a big battle in which a couple of people die (only one of whom is a prominent character, but still). I'm still kind of feeling my way through it, but at least now I've got a few scenes written. That's more than I managed in January and February.
