Made a new character. Killed two wolves. Yay me.

At least the game remembers my in-game gamma settings, so I can create characters while being able to actually see them. Small annoyance -- when making minor changes to the face, markings, piercings, it would be nice if I could get a close-up of the face. I thought that was standard with any modern mmog, but I guess not.

I really liked my shaman in EQ. I liked being very versatile -- able to solo, useful in groups, able to move quickly, could transform to a bear, could make cool potions, could heal and buff people and help them out that way, etc. Having a pet was cool.

They have shamans in WoW but they're all evil, and apart from my friends not being evil, all of the evil characters look ugly anyway. A druid or a warlock is probably the closest to what I might like to play. I can't be a human druid though, and I don't want to be a dwarf or a gnome and the night elves look dumb. I made a night elf druid with a stupid name that I didn't like, and this morning I made a human warlock.

Anyway, I'm pretty much convinced that in games like this I don't really want to go for the specialists such as warrior, mage, priest. Very good at some things, very weak/vulnerable in other areas. I like a character that can do a lot of different things.
