miko2: Ranma disguised as a schoolgirl to fool Ryoga (professor)

My new schedule of at least a minimum of excercise and eating better is going pretty well, and I've actually been feeling a lot better the last couple of days. Not that I think whatever's wrong with me has actually gone away. I went in to the UW Medical center this morning, but they couldn't see me right away so I set up an appointment for tomorrow morning, at the ungodly hour of 9 am.

Last night I ordered some movies online. I probably shouldn't have, but oh well. I ordered the Lawrence Fishburne/Kenneth Branaugh version of Othello, which I remember having rented and watched once. This leaves me two Branaugh Shakespeare films that I don't own... one is a musical that is a long ways from the original play, I may not want it, but the other is his version of Hamlet which is considered by most to be the best Hamlet on film (he used the entire text -- not a single line got cut). But for some reason it's never been made available on DVD -- boo!

Next I ordered the Franco Zeffirelli version of Taming of the Shrew with Elizabeth Taylor, also supposed to be an excellent excellent Shakespeare adaptation. And I picked up the Franco Zeffirelli version of Romeo & Juliet, which many say is the best film version of that play.

Finally I ordered Titus, which has Anthony Hopkins in it. This one sounds strange -- it's considered one of Shakespeare's weakest plays, and devolves into a kind of revenge-fest bloodbath where nearly everyone dies, but the movie version of this is considered something of a film classic that raises the blood and gore and brutality of the film to the Nth degree. Not sure what I'll think of it, but I decided to check it out.

There are several other good Shakespeare on film DVDs that I still want to pick up, but I was mostly looking for what I could order on the cheap. I was using various lists people had put up on Amazon.com of what were good Shakespeare film adaptations to figure out what I might want to pick up, and I completely forgot about Merchant of Venice which was too recent to be on any of the lists. I'll have to snag that one next time.
