The Duhks are a modern folk group from Canada that mix various folk styles such as bluegrass, old time, country, gospel, and even zydeco with a modern alt-rock approach -- similar in their own way to bands like Nickel Creek and Crooked Still. They have three cds out now, and one of my favorite songs from their latest is Heaven's My Home.
You can listen to the full song at their myspace page, which is good because I didn't see a video for it on youtube. However, you can check out this video of another song of theirs I like from their first cd: Mists of Down Below
This isn't on any of their cds, that I know of: The Duhks and John Paul Jones Live - Whole Lotta Love. This video also features their new singer, who is actually very good (their previous singer was quite good as well).
Fun group. ^_^
And since I'll never get to make it my song of the day since it's not on iTunes, here's a video of another rock cover by another Canadian bluegrass folk band: Jughead - Crazy Train
