Salsa!

I made my salsa last night. I took a recipe I've used before, which is to basically chop up peppers, onions, tomatos, and cilantro and mix with lime juice and garlic. I think that's the basics. But this time I decided to cook down the tomatos like you do with other salsas... I added some water and lime juice and cooked down most of the tomatos. Then I added some tomato paste to thicken it, and threw in onions and peppers and cilantro and garlic. I'd planned to make a cabbage-based salsa, but I was doing it different than the one at work, which was not a cooked style like I was doing. Also I'd bought a red cabbage instead of boring green... I though it would look better.

My pot got pretty full, so when I chopped up more cabbage, tomatos, onions and cilantro I just placed them in a large bowl and then poured the cooked salsa over it. It covered everything and was very hot, so the stuff on the bottom of the bowl wound up more or less cooked too.

Anyway... it tastes pretty good, but I burned the roof of my mouth, and a red tomato-based salsa with lots of purple cabage in it looks pretty strange... purple is not a good food color I think. My next goal is to do a salsa that doesn't have lime juice in it... I like my lime juice salsa, but I'm tired of it.

The other thing is... e-bay has just gotten scarier for me. I saw some nice Ah My Goddess anime tee shirts for sale, but they didn't state sizes so I e-mailed the seller. Turns out, this company has *all* sizes for sale, but e-bay only allows you to sell individual items, so they can't say "all sizes available" but they CAN just not mention size at all and then ask the bidder what they need.

And this company, animegination, has TONS of anime tee shirt designs, some of them for very obscure anime shows. They have several Dragon Half designs, for example. I want a Dragon Half tee shirt! They have some cool Nausicaa designs. I want! They have too many cool anime designs to mention. Their prices are not especially cheap... they are in the business of selling new shirts after all, so everything starts around $17... but hey, you usually find these kind of shirts for at least that much, more like $25.00, and in limited selections and sizes. So... I probably don't need to buy any more tee shirts, but I'll probably buy at least one.

They had a cool Ed (Cowboy Bebop) design, where she's playing chess...
