Mongolian Bluegrass with Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn?

Today's Song: Sometimes by Abigail Washburn

Actually it hardly matters which song I pick by Abigail Washburn, her whole debut cd is great. This is not news to some of my friends at least, [livejournal.com profile] kehf and her household are all big fans as well. I picked this particular song simply because there's a video of it up at Youtube, although the quality isn't great:

Abigail Washburn - Sometimes

The point is I hadn't listed Washburn as my song of the day before, and her cd is available on iTunes. ^_^

While searching Youtube I came across this gem: The Sparrow Quartet in Beijing, with a Mongolian folk band called Hanggai. The Sparrow Quartet includes Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn and toured China the last two years. This stuff is good, I wish there was a cd of them with Hanggai! (I haven't done enough research to say definitively that there isn't, so we'll see.)

Live in Beijing - Sparrow Quartet (includes Washhburn & Bela Fleck) w/Hanggai (Mongolian folk band) (very cool stuff! Check out www.ygtwo.com for more info.)

Sparrow Quartet in Shanghai - Sometimes (this is a better sound recording of this song acutally -- although it's cut short.)
