miko2Today's Song: Rebirth by Fairyland
Just picking a song at random from this band. Fairyland is a French power metal band that follows in the footsteps of Rhapsody -- highly orchestrated "soundtrack" metal that tells the stories from their own private fantasy world, in this case, the land of Oshyria. This song comes from the cd Of Wars In Oshyria which I don't have -- I own the follow-up cd Fall of an Empire. But it's pretty much all the same, and it's appropriate that this particular song is set to video footage from The Lord of the Rings. Poor Professor Tolkien had no idea what he wrought.
Not to mention there are probably more than a few old-school metal fans who can't comprehend that a metal band exists with an name like "Fairyland". ^_^
