Today's Song: Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love by Iron Horse

Iron Horse is the band that did Fade to Bluegrass a Metallica tribute that I absolutely love. These guys mix rock and bluegrass right -- not that I don't also enjoy Hayseed Dixie, mind you, who are always good for a laugh, but Iron Horse is a seriously good band.

Over a year ago a Van Halen tribute cd came out called Strummin' With the Devil -- The Southern Side of Van Halen which contains bluegrass covers of Van Halen songs. Some of the tracks include David Lee Roth himself singing lead vocals, but lost in the hype over that are a couple of splendid covers of Unchained and Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love by Iron Horse. This is what iTunes excels at -- I donwloaded the two Iron Horse tracks and didn't look back. I don't want or need the whole cd. ^_^ Even though hearing David Lee Roth singing bluegrass is an experience in itself....

Iron Horse has also done tributes to Ozzy Ozbourne, Guns 'n' Roses, Black Label Society, and Led Zeppelin among others. I don't have a link for this specific song... but here are a few videos:
