Why aren't you entertaining me?

miko2Seriously, my friends need to write more. I finished work at 11:15 tonight, checked live journal, checked my guild web page. I was bored. Where's all the fun stories of how sucky Shandower's job is? Or at least HerrDoktor can post more pictures of his cat.
So I decided to sign up for NaNoWriMo. Last year I figured that writing a brand new novel was only going to distract me from all the other stories that I should be working on, but I've since realized that I'm not working on them anyway, so I might as well go for it. What can go wrong? Going against the grain, I will be attempting to write a good story based on a plot that I really like that I plotted years ago, that I've never actually written. It's a story involving anthropomorphic animals, elves, ancient gods, war, racial purges, friendly rocks, a possessed guitar, mother nature, and travel to other lands. I call it "Otherworld Blues".
