Today's Song: Back in Black by Living Colour
I only recently picked up Collidescope by Living Color, their return to form after reforming the band back in 2000. I always liked the band and I especially liked their last cd before they broke up, Stain. It was brutally dark and depressing lyrically, but it was heavier than their previous work and has some really good stuff on it. I'm pleased to say that Collidescope, despite the long break, continues that trend.
Their cover of AC/DC's classic song is, of course, mostly for fun, although it does provide emphasis t hat Living Colour is, indeed, back, and black. ^_^
I also think that it's cool that Doug Pinnick of King's X replaced Corey Glover on vocals while they were on tour in 2006 and Glover was busy playing Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar. I wonder if Doug sang Back in Black? I'd like to hear that, or maybe hear him tear through Cult of Personality.
