miko2Today's Song: Nothing Natural by Lush
Of the 4AD/Shoegazer bands, Lush was by far my favorite. As they grew they evolved into less of a shoegazer band and more into a straight indie pop rock band -- one of their biggest hits, Ladykillers, sounds nothing like the shoegazer music, with the swirling chiming guitars and the vocals drifting low in the mix, almost indecipherable. But really, their later stuff was even better -- they grew as both musicians and songwriters.
Still, it was this song, Nothing Natural, and Sweetness and Light that I saw on 120 Minutes that made me love this band in the first place.
