Well
My Saturn is in the evidence building at the Mount Vernon Police Department.
And that's all I know so far. Hopefully it's in good condition and I can get it back soon.

Okay I talked to the detective and now I know a bit more. My car appears to be in good condition, not even a sign of forced entry or force used to start it, so they probably had a jimmy key. I'd be willing to bet just about any Saturn key would work on my car anyway.
On the other hand, the detective can't get into my car because he's not as good a thief as the thieves. And he needs to get into my car because he has a warrant to search it. Turns out, my car was used in a kidnapping. Not only that, but they apparently used my broken jumper cables to tie up the victim.
So tomorrow I need to get up early and find someone who can drive me up to Mt Vernon between 8 am and maybe noon or 1 pm, and after we open the car the detective will take about 15 minutes to search it, and then he'll let me drive it home.
