Today's Song: Seven Nation Army by The Dynamics

Another of the songs that eddvick put on his Norwescon 2008 mix cd he gave me was Whole Lotta Love by the Dynamics. This is a reggae band that has an album full of covers, and while their version of the Zep tune is fun, I was even more interested in their cover of the White Stripes's song Seven Nation Army. It just sounds so very different from the original.

While I was researching this I discovered that this song has been covered a surprising number of times, considering it's only about 4 years old. I guess that's a sign of a classic rock song in the making. It's been covered by In Living Colour, Audoslave, and the Flaming Lips among others that have videos up on Youtube.
