I'm way behind on my song of the day posts, and what with a busy weekend and projects like making pickled radishes, I haven't had time to catch up. I was also supposed to post another short story on the weekend.

Anyway... this has nothing to do with all of that.

NPR did a story about a company that lets random people do all of their shoe designing. Everything they make was designed by someone via their web site. The story mentioned in passing another company that's been doing this, Threadless T-Shirts. I was curious so I looked them up. I figured there ought to be some pretty creative designs, and I was exactly right.

Unfortunately a lot of their best designs are partially or completely sold out (although you can request they reprint them), but here are a few of my favorites:

The Communist Party
Robot Dance Contest
Giraffes United Against Ceiling Fans
Death's Sweet Seduction
Fish Tank
Birds of a Feather
Acute Invasion
Secrets of Magic
Go Japan!
MP3
Stone Jungle
What Makes It Go
Aesthetic Truculency
Jump

Of course there are dozens or hundreds of shirts on the site of the "funny saying" or "attempted funny saying" variety... but as you can see, there are also a ton of shirts with very cool/very funny graphic or art designs. Most of these I would be quote happy to own and wear... so I'll probably have to order one or two, and frequent the site to see what else people come up with and if the ones I like that are out of print get reprinted (I liked the Communist Party one especially).
