Today's Song: The Phantom of the Opera by Nightwish
My comic shop owner Gabriel sent me a link to this video. Aside from the fact that he's over two years late in telling me how cool Nightwish is, this really is a good live performance of this song. It kind of demonstrates why Nightwish is (or was) a better band than many of the other goth/symphonic metal pretenders -- I'm not sure how many of those others could have pulled off such a good cover of this song.
(One of the comments on the Youtube page says they look like a bunch of vikings and goths got together to form a band... which is true.)
Gabriel says this is the "best cover ever" of Phantom of the Opera. Maybe he's forgetting the Me First and the Gimmee Gimmees?
