Today's Song: How Long by Cherryholmes

(Pretending that I haven't already done two 'song of the day' posts today... I backdated those to Monday and Tuesday in case you didn't notice :D )

I discovered this band in just the last 24 hours. I was flipping through two recent copies of Dirty Linen looking for musicians to check out that might be on eMusic, and there was an ad for this band... they're a family bluegrass band originally from California and now based in Nashville, TN. They've released six cds, three on a major label (Skaggs Family Records).

I have to say, just after listening to a few of their songs I think I'm convinced that this is the best bluegrass band I've heard since Uncle Earl. ^_^ At least they're the best-sounding to my ears. I love a bluegrass band with both tight musicianship and strong vocals, and this band has both in spades. I downloaded several of their songs immediately. I really should buy their latest cd.
