Today's Song: Space Game by MC Lars

When it comes to nerdcore, I think I've come to the conclusion that A) MC Frontalot is always cool and very funny, B) mc chris has talent and some great songs, C) Optimus Rhyme rocks, D) YT Cracker is a very good rapper, and E) Schaffer the Darklord is both very funny and very sick.

After that, I didn't find another nerdcore rapper that really could hold my attention for more than one song. MC Hawking was good for one song. ZeaLous1 was good for maybe a song and a half. MC Lars was about a song and a half for me as well. Beefy (from the Tri Cities) was barely good enough for one song (Play With Me). Futuristic Sex Robotz were almost good enough for one song, but I dunno, their stuff is still kinda cheezy. Monzy, Drown Radio, MC Plus+ -- these people were not even good enough for one good song.

Jesse Dangerously is probably good for more than one song, but I've only downloaded the one so far, a rendition of Jabberwocky that's quite good. He has a good reputation. Probably I'd include him in a "top 6" nerdcore rap artists worth paying attention to. That list would include

Anyway, this is the song by MC Lars that I actually like. There were a couple of others of his that I almost liked, but really, he doesn't strike me as a great rapper, only average. Better than the other also-rans (Beefy, Plus+), but not as funny as Frontalot or Darklord or as talented as YT or mc chris or Optimus or even ZeaLous1. But at least this song has a very good groove.
