Today's Song: Glass by Bat For Lashes

Here's a fairly new artist who is clearly descended from Kate Bush, Tori Amos, and Peter Gabriel. That's a good thing! Probably some Cure and Siouxsie and the Banshees in there as well. Still a good thing!

Her real name is Natasha Khan (and why with such a great name you want to perform under a pseudonym I don't know). Her father was Pakistani and her mother English, and she's based on Brighton. She just released her second cd, Two Suns, and it's good. Really good.

The official first single and video are for the song Daniel. It's a very pretty song, but I like the less conventional Glass (and Sleep Alone) better. Amazingly enough, those are the three tracks up on her myspace page. ^_^ I think I need to get the whole cd though....
