May. 11th, 2010 11:27 amI was listening to an NPR interview with Meatloaf this morning, in which he talked about his new concept cd where all of the songs are from the point of view of an injured soldier.
"Every song is sung through his eyes," he said. Sounds painful.
In general, listening to him ramble for ten minutes trying to explain the meaning behind each song and how they related to each other was like listening to someone try to explain a joke. If you have to explain it, then you didn't do it right. This is probably why so many song writers just shrug when asked what their song really means, or just say "It means whatever you think it means," or at least talk about what lead to them writing the song, rather than what it's actually about.
Played City of Heroes on my new computer last night. Worked beautifully. ^_^
