miko2Computers suck. Now that Mike and Jeff have helped me get my bedroom computer working again... it isn't really working again. What happens is that it freezes up without warning, in such a way that the only thing you can do is turn the computer off. So... wouldn't want to be working on anything important, like a story, when than happens.
I assume that's just a video driver issue probably? I guess I should try installing a better driver. If nothing else, I'm sure we can install Windows again, or even wipe the drive and do a clean install.
Oh well. I have lots of computers that don't work that well. ^_^;
Had a lot of weird dreams the last two nights. Last night I had a dream about winning some car races that my parents were holding. I was in some sort of Honda Accord I think... a car that nobody expected to win. Don't ask me how I won. The thing was, all the spectators were Japanese and winning made me really famous in Japan somehow, even though the races were held in front of my parent's house.
So in the dream I was getting off work or coming back from shopping or something, and I had to get ready for the race, so I took stuff out of the car and removed the luggage rack on the roof just to make things a little more aerodynamic you know. And then I drove to where the race was going to be held at my parent's house. But it started snowing and there was snow everywhere when I got there, and all of these racecars were crammed into my parent's driveway because the snow was delaying the races.
And my sister was there. Everyone had been sitting there for hours and were really thirsty, but I'd had the foresight to bring a large cup of icewater. I offered some to my sister and she drank all of it in one gulp.
Okay, so that was a weird dream yes? But two nights ago I had another one that's still pretty vivid. It involved Sky asking me to fly to some convention with him... that was in Atlanta or some place. Don't ask me where Jyw'l or anyone else was in this scenario... it's my dream so naturally Sky asked me to go and not anyone else, yes?
Anyway he asked me just a day or two or a few hours before we had to leave. I was supposed to meet him at the airport, but I didn't know when or where. But I knew I had to get there soon. I only had $200.00 in cash on me (like I ever carry that much around in my wallet, heh) so my sister was driving me to the airport, but I asked her to swing by the bank so I could get some more money. We went through the drive-through, and they gave me something like $200.00 more but I'd wanted $500.00. But they said if I wanted to change my order I had to use a different window.
At this window was a weird machine with a keyboard and a bunch of other buttons on it. You had to enter a password, but you couldn't just type it in. For every letter there was a combination of keys to hit... like, if you wanted to enter the letter B, you had to type ",,..b" or something like that. And the password entry times out after about ten seconds, so I kept having to start over.
Finally I got really frustrated and gave up, but by then my sister had got bored and disappeared, so I had to walk back home. I was hoping that she'd just driven back home instead of somewhere else, because she still had to drive me to the airport where I had to meet Sky. But since I didn't know exactly when our flight was, I had no idea if it was already too late or not.
So yeah, dreams are weird.
Today I sent the account information on my two Everquest accounts to Dinomight. He's a guild friend... one of the few still playing. He and Roncor are going to take whatever they want from my characters, and then I'll cancel and never play EQ again.
This is a fairly easy decision since I haven't played since June anyway. I've had an account for over four years, and while I've often stopped playing for months at a time, I've never officially cancelled before.
But I still have my Toontown account... which I haven't been playing much either.
Last night I wrote for the first time in five or so days... did a complete scene for Muyami Academy. And I read more on my book too... I'm into the second book now, "When Dreams Collide".
