miko2: Ranma disguised as a schoolgirl to fool Ryoga (raspberry)

How shall I amuse myself? Let me count the ways

I have so many things to keep me entertained, it's scary.

I have books I'm reading -- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (nearly done), Bertie Wooster Sees It Through (started). I have books I want to read (Witches Abroad, sitting on my desktop here, Read it before of course. I recently got it back from Jeff I think.). I have other books that have diverted my attention (a true crime story I found on the bookshelf in the lunchroom at work). I don't know why I insist on reading three books at once, but I do.

I have multiple comics and graphic novels lying around that I haven't read. Among the most recent -- Silent Mobius vol 7, Aqua Knight vol 3, Kazan vol 6, Fushigi Yugi vol 6, Ranma vol 19, Ah! My Goddess dual language vol 1, Oh My Goddess: Childhood's End (most recent English volume from Dark Horse), and Storm Riders, which is an English version of one of the most popular Chinese comics of the last ten years, which my comic shop owner thought I'd like. This week I picked up the hardcover of the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, which I'd ordered a week or two ago.

I buy a lot of graphic novels and collected comic volumes. Only a few of the titles listed above -- Ranma, Oh My Goddess, Aqua Knight, and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen -- did I buy the comic versions of first. For the most part, I just wait until the collected volumes come out... then I buy them, and come home at night, and lie on the couch for an hour or more, reading a few comics and maybe part or all of a graphic novel... and that leaves me with another graphic novel or two that I don't read that night, and those generally lie around for up to several months before I finally get around to reading them. A few I never manage to read at all.

I'm like that with music too. I buy more music than I can reasonably listen to. You have to wonder what my life would be like if I'd invested all that money instead. ^_^

Other nights, like tonight, I don't have time to read my books or comics because I've been to the store and picked up a Newsweek or Reader's Digest, and so I lie on the couch and devour those instead. Or maybe I go online and read stuff there for a couple of hours.

I have tapes and DVDs that I want to watch. Right now, I'm working my way through vol 2 of Blue Seed (and begining to realize that I can't possibly have the entire series -- where's volume 3?) I have the Buffy season 1 DVDs from Kristen waiting for me to watch them. I have Ranma 1/2 tapes that I haven't watched, and Card Captor Sakura DVDs (there are several out now that I haven't bought yet). I don't own all of Trigun yet, but what I do own I haven't finished watching. Ditto for Escaflowne. And I have other tapes that I've pulled out and set on top of the television because I want to watch them again, at some point.

I have more stories than I know what to do with, waiting for me to sit down and write more on them. This week I only managed a few scenes of Muyami Academy. I need to write more.

I'm still subscribed to Everquest at $10.00 a month. I've played a little bit this week, a few hours. I've forced myself to do other things first, or log of early so that I can write or read. I'm also subscribed to Dark Age of Camelot, and I don't have time or the inclination to play it. I think that's $13.00 a month. I need to cancel it.

Let's not even mention other computer games I've bought and put on my hard drive -- Diablo II, American McGee's Alice In Wonderland -- that I have never finished. (At least, with DII, I'm fairly close ^_^ ). I play games like computer mahjohngg more often than anything else.

And then, in my spare time (spare time?), I play with images in photoshop or whatnot.

Every day I go to work with a bag full of cds. I must carry 50 cds to work at least (some in cd booklets). Then I spend more than half the night listening to the radio instead -- NCAA basketball, or Sonics, or talk radio, or whatever. I'm lucky if I listen to 3 cds in a given night.

I do that when I drive home too. I take out four cds that I might want to listen to -- I can't pull them out after I'm on the freeway, so I have to plan ahead -- but then I'll listen to talk radio for most of the way home.

And I still try to get 8 hours of sleep a night, and I work 8 hours a day of course (at least), and spend 2 hours commuting. Television? Who has time to watch television?

And I have this journal to keep up. ^_^

And still, I get bored. It really makes me wonder, sometimes.
