miko2It was Gloriah's birthday yesterday. Cynthia brought a massive chocolate cake. I mean, it was multiple layers and stood more than six inches tall. Sinfully chocolaty.
Stephanie took a huge piece. I mean HUGE. She's been on this protein diet thing and so hadn't had much sugar in a while... so the cake was not a good idea. She got sick... the kind of sick that includes frequent trips to the restroom.
So we had to send her home early.
In the meantime I've got some of those Dove promise candies in my desk... you know, when you unwrap them there's some kind of "promise" or phrase or whatever written on the inside of the aluminum foil wrapper. Kind of like Chinese fortune cookies, only better because it's pure dark chocolate. So later that night Laura and Gloriah were talking to me at my desk and I gave one to Laura (Gloriah had had enough chocolate for one day) and I opened one... and my "promise" said "Everything happens with chocolate".
Laura told me to leave that on Stephanie's desk, so I did. ^_^ She laughed when she came in today. Kind of gives Dove's innocent promise a whole new meaning...
