Wooo it's Convention Time

miko2Norwescon is the first convention I ever attended, and I haven't missed a year of it since that first one (#7 I think it was?).
So I'm off Thursday and Friday and Monday to recover. Woo Hoo! Cons are for hanging with your friends, so I'm sad that some of my friends won't be around this year. But not everyone has the spare time and money every year, I know.
Me, I'm set for the con. I got paid today and my check was bigger than usual because of how busy we've been. I actually only worked an hour and a half of overtime, but for the last year or year and a half I have typically worked only 6 to 7 hours a night, maybe 7 1/2 at the very most... but lately I've been working pretty much 8 hours a night. And March had extra days in it, that helped too.
And the end of the month I'll get my extra "vacation" check... the company likes to pay all vacation money up front on your anniversary, and then what days you decide to take off are unpaid. I like it that way... not sure what I plan to do with my check this year. I should do something responsible this time around.

jeffreycornish and geojlc offered me a ride to the con tomorrow but they're leaving far too early for my tastes. I didn't call them but in case they were wondering... I'm going to stay up late goofing off and then head down to the con in the afternoon. Be lazy. That's what conventions are for.
Over the years I've learned to pack light for the con. I don't even use most of the stuff I bring, like my laptop or games, most of the time. No need to drag a ton of stuff into the convention hotel when I know I won't need it.
So tonight... I just got in the mail box set #4 of You're Under Arrest, the final dvd's. I'll pobably watch a good portion of that, and play some Toontown, and maybe think of packing for the con. That's it!
