Another Week

miko2I have to admit I spent the whole weekend playing Everquest. ^_^ I haven't done that in a long while, was kind of fun. And I'm glad to see that nobody was trying to get ahold of me, because you wouldn't have suceeded anyway. =P

Well, I'd post more about what I did, but I don't want to bore you to death. And I already posted on my guild board.
I stopped at Jack In The Box Monday for a cheap hamburger. I'm trying to conserve my money, I get paid next Monday and then I'll be doing better financially, but I've been very good so far and still have a couple hundred in my checking account so I'm doing fine. Anyway, I figured a $1 burger would be cool.
I went through the drive through. I only had a few minutes, or I'd be late for work. I actually said "I'll do a jumbo jack" and when she rang me up I realized she'd heard "2 jumbo jacks". Oh well, I didn't feel like correcting her. One extra burger for one of my co-workers. With curly fries, the total was $3.90.
I handed her a $20 (all I had). When she handed me change I was more concerned with stuffing it into my wallet, grabbing the food, and getting out of the way of the cars behind me.
Only later at work did I realize she'd handed me a dime, two fives, and two ones, rather than three fives and a one. I called. Had to wait an hour, managers were in a meeting. Called back. Had to wait until 10 pm when they counted the till. Called back. I got a long, rambling story about how the till was short more than $5 and she had to write the employee up, and since I was claiming she'd shorted me $4 more, she didn't know what to do, never faced this situation, wanted me to talk to her manager in the morning... blah blah blah.
Well I could tell that they weren't going to do anything unless I wanted to make a big stink about it. It was only four bucks, so I didn't bother calling the head manager... but it still kinda pisses me off.
So that's the big exciting event of my week so far. =P
