Up To My Usual Tricks

I'm always doing this sort of thing. I think I was inspired by the first song I used, a great pirate song from Flogging Molly. Anyway, here's what I got, something to put you in the right mood to rape and pillage and then hang for your crimes:
1. Salty Dog, Flogging Molly. Wonderful pirate song.
2. Princes of the Univers, Queen. Cool song from the Highlander tv series.
3. Newry Highwayman, Boiled In Lead. He hangs of course, but he wants a flashy funeral.
4. Big Guns, Swirling Eddies. A favorite Terry Taylor tune, about bringing light and goodness to the world via massive weaponry. An American anthem of sorts.
5. The Hardest Part, Blondie. A cheesy song (even by their standards) about robbing an armored car.
6. Boys From The County Hell, The Pogues. About being a Hell-raising Irishman.
7. Whisky In The Jar, Metallica. Lots of good versions of this, I should get the Thin Lizzy one.
8. Vincent Black Lightning 1952, Burach. I need the original of this too.
9. John of Ditchford, Steeleye Span. He kills, seeks sanctuary, gets what he deserves.
10. Yo Ho!, Phoenyx. Another great pirate song. Arrr!
11. The Running Gun, Killbilly. Another good boy gone wrong song.
12. I Shot the Sherrif, Bob Marley & Wailers. I like this original version better.
13. I Fought The Law, The Clash. Their version is best imo.
14. The Renegade, Styx. Had to include this of course.
15. Bloodletting (The Vampire Song), Concrete Blonde. Not sure if this really belongs.
16. Never Make It Home, Split Lip Rayfield. Fun song about being in jail awaiting a hanging.
17. Fulsom Prison Blues, Johnny Cash. Of course!
18. The Highwayman, Cash/Kristopherson/Willie/Waylon. Not exactly about being a Highwayman, but...
19. The Everlasting Gaze, Smashing Pumpkins. Not on topic at all, but I like the driving, menacing nature of the song and the repeated phrase, "You know I'm not dead," which seems appropriate for a bunch of rogues who all met a bad fate but want to live on or at least be remembered. And it kind of echos the theme of the Highwayman, about dying and living still.
Thought about including: The Twilight Zone, Golden Earring; In My World, Anthrax; The Highwayman, Loreena McKennitt; Take The Money and Run, Steve Miller Band. Don't the Eagles have a good outlaw song? I should've added Ten Gallon Hat by Terry Taylor, another goofy song about the American Cowboy ethic "I'll put a ten gallon hat over my devil's horns". Oh well.
Any other ideas? Anyone want their own cd about pirates and rogues? ^_^
