miko2I got one of the Charlatans cds that I ordered on Tuesday. I was really happy with how fast it arrived.
I tried to play it on the way in to work today. I noticed right away that the cd was all black with just a little tiny white lettering around the outside edge listing the song titles. Of course, I was on the road and didn't have time to study it closely, but as I shoved it into the cd player I was thinking how much it looked like another of the Charlatans cds, their fifth, "Telling Stories". One that I already own, mind you.
Well, as it turns out, that's because it IS the Charlatans cd "Telling Stories". But it came in a case for their self-titled "Charlatans UK" cd, their fourth cd.
I was pretty annoyed but when I got home and checked out the information on my purchase, I realized that I'd bought it for $3.88 plus shipping... in other words, it's probably not even worth trying to fix the problem, although I sent them an e-mail. I'll probably just buy the cd I want again from someone else, and give the extra copy of Telling Stories to Sky or someone else who might appreciate it. Sky could copy my cover for Telling Stories and make a proper cd case for it, so you know what's really inside. ^_^
It is, after all, probably one of their best cds.
In other news, I've stayed up too late the last three nights playing City of Heroes, so that means I need to go right to bed and get some actual sleep. Er... or maybe it means I can play for just an hour first. Yeah, that's what it means. Just one little hour! ^_^
