My new computer might look like this.

After looking through the local Computer Source magazine and checking all the ads, I think I've found what I want. I'm looking for a fast machine, relatively cheap. I'm not upgrading so I complete machine is best, and I already have a monitor for it, but an OS installed would be nice. Probably want AMD XP 1700 or better, I can do 256mb and then drop in another 512mb and that would be okay, I can deal with a cheap video card since I'll probably replace it when I can with a (relatively cheap) Geforce 3 ti, would like a semi-fast cd burner (24x is okay) but I don't really need dvd or anything else added since my current machine has a good cd burner and a dvd drive too; 40mb hard drive is probably enough for now, and doesn't hurt it if also has network card, modem, mouse, keyboard, speakers. ^_^

So one of the ads has this machine that looks like what I want:

ECS K7S5ASKT-A m/b
256mb PC2100 DDR
40GM 7200RPM HD
3.5 1.44 floppy
GeForce 2 64mb AGP (mx200 I'm guessing, 400 would be nice)
32bit Stereo Sound (is this on board?)
24x 10/40 CDRW
10/100 Network
56Kbps Modem v.90
PS/2 Keyboard
Logitech Mouse
ATX Midi-Case 300w
Stereo Speakers
Windows 98SE or XP

For Athlon XP 1600, $599.94. I was thinking of doing the 1800 at $629.94, then getting another 512mb ram for $119.94, assuming their prices haven't changed. This is the May edition, so it's a new ad.

Might even call them today... seems like a much better deal than almost any other ad I can find. This is a new place called Fun-Key Computers (page 60 and 61 for those following in your Computer Source). They have a store in Tukwilla and one in Federal Way.
