miko2: Ranma disguised as a schoolgirl to fool Ryoga (evil thoughs)

Sky and Jeff dropped by on Saturday. I was playing City of Heroes, of course. Although actually I didn't play that much this weekend; I spent an inordinate amount of time the last several days searching for anime and non-anime desktop wallpapers and placing them in a special "wallpaper" folder, which I then burned to cd. This is to take to work. I'm not allowed internet access at work -- most people aren't -- and I wanted some nice wallpapers for my computer. Technically I'm not allowed to bring in anything on a disk from outside the company either -- we all have to live by the rules that are put in place to stop the few idiots who always get their computers infected -- but I know that my disc contains nothing but jpg files, and I know that if Ron never finds out about it I can't get into any trouble. ^_^

So I lent Sky dvd volumes 3-5 of Azumanga Daioh and 5 & 6 of the manga Negima! which is becoming one of my favorite mangas lately (up there with Ah! My Goddess, Battle Angel Alita: Last Order, Cheeky Angel and Tuxedo Gin). I also lent 1-4 of Negima! to Jeff so he could check it out. Later in the day I went to buy the last dvd of Azumanga Daioh, but Suncoast didn't have it. I tried Silver Platters and picked up several cds... Sparkle and Rain by Simple Minds (one of my favs that I never did get on cd before), the greatest hits of Crosby Stills and Nash, Fade To Bluegrass (a Metallica bluegrass tribute albumn -- and actually pretty darn good ^_^ ), and the new cd by Audioslave. There were also new cds by the White Stripes and Sleater-Kinney that I wanted to pick up, but I had four cds already, so they can wait.

Silver Platters didn't have Azumanga either, so I drove down to Uwajamaya and found it there. I was also planning to get dinner there but the food court had just closed. :( So I stopped at Manna Texas Barbeque on the way home.

the last dvd of Azumanga Daioh was only three episodes long, and now the series is over. Sigh!

I spent several hours on Sunday finishing up my wallpaper project. This included me making several wallpapers for Birdy the Mighty and Aqua Knight, since I couldn't find any for either series. Then I decided to see if Birdy was available on dvd, and I ordered both dvds used off Amazon for pretty cheap. ^_^
