The more I pack, the more I despair at how much more packing I have to do. ^_^
Unfortunately the order of the day is to drive to Auburn and sign my paperwork for my new apartment, maybe move a few things in that I bring down with me, and later on, help Tom move some stuff.
Tom is in a bad situation, he still hasn't finished moving his stuff out of here and the new place he moved into flooded. He's been moving stuff from his apartment to the garage, and the lady he's renting from is screaming at him that he can't take up so much space in the garage. Well, after all, what else is he supposed to do when his apartment is flooded? She's also already threatening to raise his rent, apparently on the theory that it's going to cost a lot of money to solve her flooding problem and she can make him pay for it. So he's going to be moving a lot of stuff into storage and then look for a new place to live.
Anyway he asked me to help this evening, so I will. But I don't really want to be driving around more than I need to on expired plates. I'm kind of annoyed that in some states (such as California) you can use a credit card to renew your tabs, and can even do it online, but here apparently credit isn't good enough.
I've unearthed all of my old Elfquest fanzines. I remember that I promised to give any extra Lone Oak Holt issues to Sheryl several years ago, but I was too lazy to dig them out from under my bed. Now I have the chance to sort through them -- I should have extra copies of most of our issues.
