Well I just typed a long journal entry and Livejournal promptly ate it. Screw Livejournal.
Anyway one burning question I have for today is, there is a Grammy Award for Best Albumn, Best Song, and Best Record. Nani? Someone explain to me what the difference is between Best Albumn and Best Record. Or Best Record and Best Song?
So, for example, U2 wins for Album of the Year with "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb". They also win Song of the Year with "Sometimes You Can't Make It on Your Own." But the Record of the Year is "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," by Green Day.
"Boulevard" is a song off of American Idiot, so I guess the distinction is between Best Record and Best Song. But I'm still a little mystified.
I haven't been able to find the box with all of my mail in it. I'm fairly certain it was a Chuck U-Haul box. I had a lot of mail by the door that I just dumped into a box. The important part is that I have three bills that I need to pay, but I can't find them. I don't have newer copies because I still don't have access to my mailbox, so I'm not even sure if any mail is really being forwarded to me. I've looked through every box left in the livingroom (where it should be) and in every other U-Haul box I can find or reach... but still no luck.
Today when I left my apartment there was a note on the door saying that I owed $6.00 in rent, and I had 24 hours to pay or they would send me to collection. Um... $6.00? Might have been nice to give me a warning before the threat. Or possibly they've sent me a dozen letters about it, how would I know? I don't have a key to get into my mailbox.
Anyway I paid them their $6.00 (some discrepancy between what they told me to pay for my prorated rent last month, and what they apparently really wanted me to pay). I asked about my mailbox key. They're working on it. I asked about my storage locker key. They're working on it. I asked when they were going to fix the dishwasher. They were working on it (actually it got fixed by the time I got home, so that's good news).
I still think I need another large shelf from Ikea, and maybe something to put my stereo equipment on. And maybe a microwave oven.
Anyway, I had more to say but I'm not going to retype it all again.
