I remembered this morning that one of my goals for the weekend was to get rid of my remaining boxes (aside from those that go back to Chuck). So at 11:30 am I posted the boxes for free on Craig's List. I was thinking that I needed to get other things done later today and wishing I had thought to post earlier in the day, but I got a call within 15 minutes and 15 minutes after that two people came and claimed about half of the boxes, taking most of the large ones.
I went to update my post on Craig's List and was interrupted by another phone call. He didn't want any small boxes, so I went back to update my post again and was interrupted by yet another phone call. This person thought they might come by later in the day, they weren't sure, if I didn't hear from them then they weren't coming. I took that as a definite "probably not" and realized afterwards that I hadn't given them my apartment number anyway. Then another person called who wanted to come by right away and take everything else I had. She said she had to check something and call back, and when she called back she said she'd be by at 2 pm.
In between all of this I managed to file most of the massive piles of important paperwork that I had stacked on the coffee table, so now I feel much better organized. While doing this I noticed that Gene has used the headline "Spring Has Sprung!" on two different contributor newsletters. ^_^ Those were from several years ago, so he can probably do it again this year and most people wouldn't notice.
When Keith called to say that he was returning my dvds, I remembered that I wanted to lend some of Cardcaptor Sakura to Kristin, so I got those out, and decided to watch the first episode. Just as it finished there was a knock on the door -- perfect timing! A few minutes later, all of my boxes were gone! Woo! And it's only 2 pm, I still have time to get more things done today before the Tai-Pan meeting! First on that list would be fixing a very late breakfast, and then getting my oil changed for my car.
